Responsibilities
* Provide operational HR services and solutions to the business as the country contact for compensation & benefits matters
* Provide both management and employees with operational HR guidance especially for employee benefits
* Work on regional projects focused on payroll and vendor management
* Contribute strong HR knowledge in terms of giving advice, solving problems and carrying out project work in the areas of compensation & benefits, health & safety, and compliance
* Act as local contact for the employee benefits and governor/secretary of the company pension plan to external authority or other stakeholders
* Actively source and share external best practice and HR knowledge
* Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports with the goal of aiding their development
Requirements
* 5 years or more of HR experience including management experience
* Good knowledge and understanding of social security systems, employment law and regulations, company pension and local taxes.
* HR Project management experience
* Good communication skills
* Native level Japanese and good command of English, both written and spoken
* Bachelor Degree or above
Preferred Experience
* A mix of HR Specialist and Generalist experience
* People management for a team of several members
* Experience in multiple industries
