Company Description
Our client is a leading medium sized Financial Institution
* The role is for a 1 year contract as the current Head is taking time off for maternity leave
Responsibilities
* Act as a consultant to senior management on strategic communications issues
* Co-ordinate communication requirements of all businesses in Japan, i.e. external and internal public relations and communication activities
* Develop and implement the Communication plan in line with Business objectives in Japan in liaison with the local business line
* Work with the Asia Pacific Regional Communications team to either implement global initiatives led by Head-Office or to manage/co-ordinate local initiatives
* The position reports in to the CEO Japan and the Regional Head of Communications in Asia Pacific
Requirements
* Fluent in Japanese and English
* Strong writing and editing skills in both Japanese and English
* Japanese and foreign media contacts
* Client service orientation, ability to listen and convince business units of the appropriate communication action are important skills too.
* Experience and proven success in the strategic application of advertising, marketing communication and public relations tools, preferably in a multi-cultural environment
* Minimum 6-8 years communications experience

* Experience in the financial services sector
