Company Description
*Digital media provider with about 140 staff in Japan looking to expand operations internationally
* Rapidly growing company preparing for listing on US stock exchange
Responsibilities
**Accounting (60%):
- Financial accounting and reporting in accordance with JGAAP, USGAAP and IFRS
- Primary role in meeting pre and post listing financial reporting requirements
- Work with audit firms for meeting auditing requirements
- Manage internal projects with efficient time and resource management
- Ensure professional conduct and demonstrate initiative at all times
**Interface with International Offices (30%):
- Lead role in consolidation of international operations
- Interface with global Accounting teams through e-mails and t-cons
- Provide leadership with expertise in JGAAP and IFRS
- Keep abreast of latest accounting rules in Japan and communicate effectively to the international teams
**Daily Operations (10%)：
- Internal Management Reporting and Analysis activities
- Special Project tasks
Requirements
*Strong English and Japanese (JLPT Level 1) skills
*Educational background / certification in accounting
*Previous experience in an accounting manager role
*Strong experience of JGAAP, USGAAP, and IFRS
*Understanding of and experience with meeting ongoing public company reporting requirements as a team member or manager
Preferred Experience
*7+ years relevant work experience
*Experience with Japanese companies listed in the US stock exchanges
*Accounting manager role in a tier one or tier two public accounting firm
*Experience working with global teams
*Working in the digital content management / advertising companies
*Experience in accounting for international operations outside Japan
