Challenging IT-savvy HR Specialist role

Responsibilities

* Consolidation of global headcount data reports for all employees in the IT organization. Delivery of regular HR analytics and reporting to the global CIO and his direct reports to help drive data-based strategic decision making
* Establishment of this role as the source of data on IT Personnel Expense (PE) activities
* Development of strong working relationships with HR specialists and analytics colleagues to build and enhance reporting functionality
* Partner closely with global and regional CAO offices to ensure accuracy of data.
* Work with regional HR offices to understand nuances of each group
* Responsibility for tracking global pipeline activity such as open roles, pipeline hires, leavers and transfers
* Be creative and proactive in providing HR analytics, metrics and key performance indicators to the client group including delivery of global quarterly HR dashboard reports
* Play a lead role in project managing global HR processes for Technology, particularly when use of data for client group is critical
* Key contributor to year end compensation planning, including summary of global compensation analytics for business leaders, and annual PE budget and forecasting process
* Senior management business presentation preparation

Requirements

* Bachelor degree in finance/business, engineering, science etc
* Minimum 5 years work experience in an analytical role
* Exceptional analytical skills: Be highly numerical with a passion for problem solving
* The ability to extract and manipulate large volumes of data from multiple systems into meaningful management information (Have the ability to identify trends and opportunities from analytics and see the implications for the business)
* Exceptional technical skills:
- Advanced Excel/Access/PowerPoint
- Understanding of database fundamentals
* Effective at building relationships at all levels of the organization and able to accomplish objectives through influence and persuasion
* Project management experience
* Detail-oriented & able to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure
* Japanese & English: Fluent

Preferred Experience

* HR experience and understanding of key HR processes (staffing, performance management, training, compensation)
* HR systems knowledge (PeopleSoft, Oracle)
* Knowledge of Finance industry and/or prior Technology firm experience
* Experience in an analytical role within the Finance industry or HR
