The Purpose of HOPE: HOPE believes that all people, regardless of their geographical setting, creed, gender or race, have basic rights and should be given the opportunity to achieve their potential. Basic needs such as clean water, food, shelter, health, work, recreation, social-economic independence, and education are seen by HOPE as being fundamental human rights upon which growth can occur. HOPE is dedicated to working alongside the poor, helping set up programs which enable the poor to cultivate their skills and knowledge, taking advantage of existing and available resources to develop self-reliant communities. With this in mind, the majority of HOPE’s energies and resources are expended in favour of development rather than relief.

The en world & Tyler Partnership

In September 2007 en world officially began its long term corporate partnership with the Tyler Foundation, marking it as an opportunity to build on our already strong ties with the Ferris Family.

The Tyler Foundation

The partnership recognises Mark Ferris’ initial support for en world when we were first establishing business in Tokyo. We believe the Tyler Foundation is an extremely beneficial cause that has already made a significant impact on the families in the local community. We can see the tangible benefits of such a charity and how it continues to provide support through regular fundraising events to help kids with childhood cancer and their families.

We are passionate about showing our support for children living with cancer and their families, and are hoping to help make a real difference in the local community under a en world-initiated theme of marathon running; the Shine On Marathon Challenge.

The Shine On Marathon Challenge

Running for charity is the most rewarding way of running a marathon. All marathon runners who are already signed up for any Japan-based or international marathon are encouraged to register with the Tyler Foundation for the Shine On! Marathon Challenge.

For supporters, friends and family of registered runners are encouraged to make an online pledge for their favourite team or individual runner.

2008 Tokyo Marathon

The 2008 Tokyo Marathon saw Britain’s top marathon runner, Mara Yamauchi, as the main Champion for the Shine On Marathon Challenge. Combined efforts from everyone involved helped the Shine On Marathon Challenge team beat their ultimate target, raising 11,199,494 yen!!!!!!! We hope the superb success achieved during the 2008 Tokyo Marathon continues through to upcoming Tokyo Marathons and other Japan-based and international marathons like the London and Honolulu Marathons.

Career Support Program for MBA holders

In recent years, the number of MBA (Master of Business Administration) holders registering with en world has significantly increased. In addition, the number of jobs for MBA holders from our client companies has also increasing.

MBA Degrees are prestigious and widely recognized as offering the highest level of education in the world of academia. Without question, MBA holders are often better remunerated and given more opportunity and greater leverage when applying for jobs or seeking a promotion.

With these market trends, en world has been supporting MBA holders not only for creating win-win situation by introducing the MBA holders to our client companies but also holding the seminar for the MBA holders or people who want to hold MBA. One of the examples is the presentation at the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business (NUCB) Graduate School. The NUCB Graduate School was ranked by the AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) as having one of the best business program on among all Universities in Japan.

The AACSB International is the global authority as a university evaluation organization and is held in high standing. NUCB was come second to only one University, the Keio University Graduate School Management course. So far, Paul Dupuis (en world Singapore Office President), Maki Mizuhara (en world Nagoya office Director) have presented the seminar about career and market value of the MBA holders.

With the number of job openings requiring an MBA qualification and MBA-like qualities also on the rise, we hope to continue supporting MBA holders as their preferred agent in order to maximize the rewards for our candidates and our clients.
