This document is to clarify how en world Singapore Pte Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “The Company”) will handle your personal information entrusted to The Company upon your registration, as well as to advise you of the terms and conditions of The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services. Please read carefully and indicate your consent to the terms and conditions before registering with The Company.
Scope of Privacy Policy and Terms of Services
This privacy policy and terms of service applies to the following group entities:
- Wall Street Associates K.K. (based in Japan, specializing in mid-career Permanent and Contract recruiting for Japanese and international firms. Wall Street Associates K.K. provides recruitment and outplacement services in two areas operated by two divisions: Permanent Placement Division and the Contract Staffing Division.)
- Wing Consulting K.K. (based in Japan, specializing in mid-career recruiting for Japanese firms)
- En-World Singapore Pte Ltd (based in Singapore, specializing in mid-career recruiting for international firms)
The Company may share personal information with its group entities (subsidiaries, companies with capital ties, and their related companies). Please refer to the Section 4 “Sharing of Personal Information” for details. Handling of Personal Information Entrusted to The Company
1. Definition of Personal Information
“Personal information” includes, but is not limited to, name, date of birth, and any other information which can be used to identify a specific person. Information which can easily be cross-referenced and used to identify a specific person is also included.
2. Management of Personal Information
The Company utilizes advanced safety measures for information management including database management in order to prevent unauthorized accesses to, loss, leak, destruction, and/or alteration of personal information.
3. Use of Personal Information
The Company uses personal information in order to provide registrants with appropriate recruitment and outplacement services, job matching, and job information; to provide companies with which The Company works (hereinafter “Client Companies”) with appropriate information to aid their selection processes; to solicit registrants’ feedback in order to improve The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services; to statistically process profiles of registrants; and to provide other services related to its recruitment and outplacement services. The Company will contact registrants in writing to obtain their consent in advance when it intends to use their personal information for other than the above defined purposes.
4. Sharing of Personal Information
The Company may share personal information with its group entities (subsidiaries, companies with capital ties, and their related companies) for the purpose defined in the above section 3.
Only the following information may be shared:
Name, gender, age, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, company (organization) name, title, educational background, work history, and other personal information obtained in order to provide appropriate recruitment and outplacement services.

5. Outsourcing
The Company may outsource a part of its businesses such as mailing, statistical processing etc. in the course of providing recruitment and outplacement services. The Company selects outsourcing companies under strict conditions which guarantee that they maintain sufficient standard in privacy protection. All outsourcing companies sign a non-disclosure agreement before they start providing their services.
6. Change, Disclosure, Correction, Deletion of Personal Information
The Company strives to maintain accurate and up-to-date personal information at all times. If you need to change, disclose, correct, and/or delete your personal information entrusted to The Company, or if you have any questions regarding personal information, please contact your consultant and/or call the appropriate Privacy Administrator listed above. The Company will not return documents you provided in order to receive recruitment and outplacement services neither to yourself nor to any third parties under any circumstances. The Company may remove your personal information from its files without obtaining your consent if it determines that maintaining such information is no longer required.
7. Changes in Privacy Policy
The Company reserves the rights to amend, change, and/or add to this privacy policy prior to obtaining consent from registrants when clarification is deemed necessary. In such cases, registrants will be notified of the changes through postings on The Company’s website and/or other methods deemed appropriate by The Company. By using The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services after such changes have been notified in the said methods, registrants are deemed to have agreed to the changes.
Terms of Service
1. Enrollment Form (Resume, Employment History, etc.)
Please provide most accurate information upon submitting your enrollment form (resume, employment history, etc). Errors caused by carelessness may affect the outcome of selection processes. Please review your form carefully before submitting. The Company will, upon obtaining your consent, correct mistakes in your form including typographical and grammatical errors for you. In such a case, The Company will have you confirm the amended enrollment form before submitting to Client Companies.
2. Contact Information
The Company utilizes telephone, email, regular mail, etc. in order to maintain communication with you upon providing recruitment and outplacement services. In addition to job information, The Company will convey results of selection processes, schedules of interviews, and other critical information. Please provide accurate and reliable contact information.
3. Information Obtained by Utilizing The Company’s Services
In many cases, information provided to registrants by The Company is not open to the public. Information you obtain by using The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services must remain private during and after you receive The Company’s services. Disclosing information obtained through The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services to any third parties is strictly prohibited. In addition, as a general rule, all communication with Client Companies including submitting resumes, deciding on date of interview, providing selection results, etc. will be handled through The Company. Contacting Client Companies directly is prohibited.
4. Cancellation of Registration
The Company may decide to cancel your registration and cease to provide recruitment and outplacement services when one of the below conditions are met:
- When the terms and conditions expressed herein are violated.
- When registration is done using false information.
- When communications from The Company are ignored without justifiable reasons.
- When Client Companies are contacted directly without The Company’s consent to secure interviews and/or hiring.
- When appointments for interviews and/or exams are not kept without justifiable reasons; or when hiring offers are turned down after they have been accepted.
- When acts resulting in disadvantage to, or undermining honor and credibility of The Company, Client Companies, and/or the third parties are committed.
- When acts leading to criminal acts are committed.
- When acts contrary to laws and public order and morals are committed.
- When The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services are used to support sales activities and/or other profit-oriented activities benefitting from distribution of information are carried out.
- When acts interfering The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services and/or undermining The Company’s credibility are committed.
- When services above and beyond The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services are repeatedly demanded.
- When any other acts that The Company objectively and/or practically determines to be inappropriate are committed.
5. Job Matching
The Company provides recruitment and outplacement services by matching registered information and job requirements submitted by Client Companies. The Company does not disclose selection criteria and/or reasons for decisions made. The Company may not recommend all job seekers who applied for certain Client Companies when The Company determines no appropriate match exists. The Company also may contact candidates in place of Client Companies to convey unsuccessful selection results.
6. Employment Terms and Conditions
The Company notifies employment terms and conditions provided by Client Companies to candidates; however, each candidate must confirm such terms and conditions directly with Client Companies before signing any employment contracts. The Company does not guarantee employment terms and conditions it notifies to be the final and complete.
7. Sharing Information with Client Companies
The Company may share candidates’ information on past rewards and punishments with Client Companies upon obtaining consent from candidates. The Company may cease to provide recruitment and outplacement services when such consent cannot be obtained.
8. Change and/or Suspension of Services
The Company may change and/or suspend its recruitment and outplacement services without prior notices to registrants.
9. Restitutions
When The Company and/or the group corporations (corporations with direct or indirect capital ties to The Company) suffer losses due to registrants’ violation of the terms and conditions herein, such registrants are obligated to any and all direct and indirect restitutions for damages caused.
10. Changes in Terms and Conditions
The Company reserves the rights to amend, change, and/or add to this terms and conditions prior to obtaining consent from registrants when clarification is deemed necessary. In such cases, registrants will be notified of the changes through postings on The Company’s website and/or other methods deemed appropriate by The Company. By using The Company’s recruitment and outplacement services after such changes have been notified in the said methods, registrants are deemed to have agreed to the changes.
Supplementary Provisions
The above terms and conditions are effective as of January 14, 2012.
